2400 usernames and passwords were sent out today in our first university pilot based in the West Midlands. The pilot is being conducted by the Library Services department with a view to engaging with their international students.

This is the first VocalEyes pilot of this size and no doubt it will give us valuable feedback as to the usability of the tool. This feedback will be evaluated at the end of the term and integrated into VocalEyes 2.0 that is intended to be released in the next academic year.
Numerous other departments (i.e. the Student Union) are closely monitoring the progress of this pilot with a view to introducing it in other areas throughout the university if the response is positive with real tangible benefits and outcomes materialising.
